Useful Creator Podcast

With Juma Bannister

I've Rebooted the Podcast...Let me Explain...

When I first started the podcast, I spent time figuring out how it would work and eventually discovered a formula: it would be an interview-style show focused on marketing and content, where every guest had to be a teacher and each episode would feel like a class in what I called the Useful Creator Classroom.

I kept episodes under an hour so people could listen during their Thursday lunch breaks, hoping it would become a weekly ritual. It worked—downloads grew, feedback rolled in, and it became the number-one marketing podcast in my country, even featuring dream guests like Chris Do. I built systems for every part of the process and produced 62 episodes before realizing something had to change. The shift started around episode 53 and by episode 58, I could feel the momentum fading. The turning point came at a speaking event in the UK, where someone mistook the variety of my podcast guests’ expertise as my own—an aha moment that made it clear: the focus needed clarity.

So now, I’m rebooting the Useful Creator Podcast with a refined vision—interviewing only three types of guests: professionals using video to grow their careers or personal brands, creators making a living through video, and businesses that help others create or strategize video content.

If this sounds like something you’d love to listen to while having a delicious lunch, subscribe below. New episodes coming soon.

My Guests love it too

Here's to a good question...

What guests say to me during interviews.

Testimonial from Alex B. Sheridan

I'm Looking for VERY Specific guests:

1.Professionals who use video to build a personal brand, grow their career or business.

2.Creators who make a living from video content or run video-first businesses.

3.Businesses that help other businesses with strategy or done-for-you video creation.

Additionally, my guests have to be teachers. The Useful Creator Podcast is not a platform to promote yourself, although we will talk about what you do.

If you fit this, please reach out.

if you don’t, then don’t.

(or not, no guarantees)
