ChatGPT Thinks it knows me (Maybe…)

Every now and then, I get a little reminder of how much AI has become part of my creative process. This one caught me off guard.

The other day, ChatGPT, completely on its own, asked me if I wanted it to write a bio based on our conversations. That’s right: it volunteered.

Now, for context: ChatGPT has been my go-to creative partner for the last six months. I use it almost daily to workshop ideas, structure content, expand scripts, and build out frameworks for projects, some that you’ve seen, and many that are still in development. Over time, I’ve trained it (and honestly, trained myself) to understand my tone, my audience, and the way I like to present ideas.

It’s not perfect, but it’s impressive.

I even built a custom prompt inside ChatGPT that I use to automatically generate captions for all my LinkedIn videos. And not just for me, I now use variations of this for client projects too, with great results. In a way, ChatGPT has become my silent collaborator, helping me fine-tune how I speak to the people I serve.

So, after all of that interaction, here’s who ChatGPT thinks I am. This is a straight copy-paste. No editing.

While neither of these descriptions are 100% accurate, they are both pretty great, just based on me interacting with the LLM over the past few months. It makes me think I should really create a custom GPT to help with developing video content..

Want to know who ChatGPT thinks you are?

Here’s a little experiment you can try:

Start a conversation with ChatGPT and just talk. Share your projects, your interests, your goals. Use it regularly to build your ideas. Over time, as the context builds up, ask it to summarize who you are based on your conversations.

You might be surprised at how closely it can reflect your voice and even pick up on things you haven’t articulated yet.

For me, this little exercise was more than a party trick. It was a reminder that the more intentional we are about how we create, the more we can shape how we show up — online, in business, and in the work we share with others.

Your Turn:

If you do try this, send me what ChatGPT says about you. I’d love to see how it introduces you.

ABOUT THIS NEWSLETTER: I’ve been trying for weeks and weeks to do more short form content and every single time I do I end up making a long form script. This is frustrating because I don’t have the time to edit more long form videos right now because I’m working on my website and developing some courses.

My solution to this problem is ro create a LinkedIn newsletter in the meantime. I’m not sure how long I’ll continue to do it for, but it gives me the outlet to share some expanded ideas without having to create long for a Videos. My plan is to create long for a Videos for my YouTube channel after my new website as launched.

Also, in the meantime, you should subscribe to my mailing list to get the MAIN USEFUL CREATOR newsletter that will be launching soon. Here’s the link: https://sendfox.com/jumabannister

ABOUT THE HEADER IMAGE: This image is also a collaboration between myself and chat GPT. I fed chat GPT the article after I had written it and asked it to generate an image to represent the article. The robot is originally from chat GPT. I changed the colour of the background to black added in myself (this is from my series of photos that I’m going to be using for my YouTube thumbnails in the future) and my mascot U.C. is just behind my shoulder.

U.C. doesn’t look happy with Chat…
